Authentic Living From The Inside Out
Journey Inward To Your True Self
Journey Outward To Your Authentic Life
Does this internal voice sound familiar?
What’s wrong with you?!
You’re so angry/stressed/negative/anxious/sad all the time!
Is this my life – how did I even get here???
You just need to work harder.
You’re successful in business. Relationships? Not so much.
Where’s all that creativity now?
I thought you were a problem-solver?! Guess that’s another fail.
Soon everyone will see you are a fake, and it will all come tumbling down.
Like you’re getting nowhere?
Working harder isn’t going to provide clarity.
Thinking positively isn’t going to assuage your fear.
Having another beer isn’t going to heal the pain.
Ignoring difficult feelings isn’t going to move you closer to peace.
Listening to all these parts at once is deafening and debilitating. It’s like furiously rowing your boat in 37 different directions.
While having all those feelings at once can feel overwhelming, they are just trying to call attention to the fact that something inside of you needs tending to. Feelings are there to gauge whether our universal human needs are getting met or not.
It’s frustrating. You feel lost and lonely. And things can seem pretty hopeless.
You’ve tried everything else. It’s time for a gentle
revolution.
If you want to move toward hope and happiness, it’s time to start your journey inward.
It may not feel like it right now, but you’ve already got the knowledge and resources within you to heal and thrive. Haven’t you spent enough time trying valiantly to go over, around, under? Sometimes the idea of self-exploration and sorting through past hurts is scary – I get it. But it isn’t so scary when you have the right companion for your hero’s journey.
Labyrinth Counseling is a name I chose very deliberately.
It describes how I believe therapy works. From ancient times, the labyrinth has been associated with pilgrimage routes and rituals of self-discovery.
Labyrinths – and counseling – are not mazes. They are actually unicursal, offering only one route to the center and back out again: no blind alleys, dead ends, or tricks, as in a maze. No matter where you are in the labyrinth’s coherent circuits, you can always see the center.
Once you set foot upon your path, I will gently and compassionately lead you to your center – your True Self – no matter how many twists and turns we negotiate in the process.
The destination is assured. Simply set one foot in front of the other – honor the journey and what it has to teach.
Relax. You’re not broken. You’re human!
And you are made up of many parts – some you like and readily accept, and some that cause discord and distress (we’d rather send those packing). Some parts hold past trauma and outdated messages about who/how you have been and should be in the world.
Unless you can create an inner sanctuary, a special chamber within, where you can be with yourself, slow things down, and direct your thoughts toward what nourishes you in body, mind and Spirit, you will be starving for meaning and purpose in your life.
The mind can be stilled. Attention paid to the body, the wisdom of the heart, and the graces of being rather than doing. And that prepares you for your journey back outward toward a more relaxed, authentic and joyful life.
and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he
will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.

Hi, I’m Michelle
My clients are encouraged to be co-therapists. Together, we will develop a safe, creative, and dynamic space in which you are offered tools to help you on your journey toward what you really want and who you really want to be.
We will bring a sense of compassionate curiosity to the exploration of your internal world. Gaining courage and creativity, you will rediscover your True Self (that has been there all along.) Once connected, you have all the resources you need to “move confidently in the direction of your dreams.”
If you are looking to deeply explore the roots of any distress, need extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, or you are just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
